Massage!
I have always received massage, now I receive two monthly.
Naps
I have to admit, sometimes I take naps on the massage table. I always change the linens though.
Family Time
Little can come in between the time I hold sacred with my son; it's the reason I am only open one Saturday per month. Spending time with my family keeps me focused on what is really important. That time re-energizes me in mind, body, and soul.
To help manifest a balanced community through helping clients restore balance in mind, body and soul.
Infinite Balance Massage
An On-Going Journey in Balance
Wow. Sometimes it is still hard to believe I am a Licensed Massage Therapist. After nearly two decades in progressive levels of youth development, I never imagined myself in any other career. And then I got burned out, lost my father and became a dad. Everything else in my life was changing so why not explore a new career?
I remember precisely how I "stumbled" upon massage therapy as a career. I was in my office, beyond exhausted. I was unhappy in my career, things with fostering/adoption were taking its toll and I was still grieving the loss of my dad. I did a web search for "massage school, Louisville" to schedule a massage in a student clinic (I couldn't afford a licensed massage therapist). "NOW ENROLLING" popped up and I had a visceral reaction, closing the window instantly. I reflected on why later, and eventually met with Brent Williams, founder of Louisville School of Massage.
The more research I did the more I realized how powerful massage could be. It can be healing in body yes, and also in mind and soul. To this trinity, I commit my career as a Licensed Massage Therapist...I love working with people who are seeking everything from relaxation to help coping with symptoms of anxiety, PTSD, autism and more. I love working with clients from ages 6-70, in between and beyond.
In my spare time, I enjoy spoiling both my son and my dog, giving back to the community, doing my part to feed the local rabbits and squirrels through my garden, canning/preserving what others manage to grow in abundance, cooking from scratch and wasting way too much time on silly games on my iPad. Oh, and drinking LOTS of coffee from any of the many local coffee houses.
